9. Cases where there is no alternative treatment

Indications of extraction of the wisdom teeth:

1. In cases of teeth ectopic, semi impacted or impacted, that causes pain
2. Pericoronitis
3. Dental or periodontal abscess
4. Injury on the cheek or the gum, during mastication
5. Orthodontic therapy, which requires extraction one or more teeth
6. When the teeth is pushing the root of the adjacent teeth

2. Damage to adjacent teeth: danger of accident because of not handling correct the extraction tools.
3. Fracture of the lower jaw: because of great the forces
4. Ankylosis of the lower jaw: because the patient remains with open mouth too much hour.
5. Difficulty opening mouth(Trismus)
6. Sinus perforation: for the extraction of teeth of the upper jaw which have direct connection with sinus
7. Dental paresthesia is one possible postoperative complication of wisdom tooth removal in the lower jaw, temporary or permanent : when the roots are in the mental nerve
