Immediate Denture is the denture that is made before the extraction of natural teeth and is placed immediately after the extraction
Indications:
- In all cases that the treatment plan is the complete denture and the patient does not want to stay without teeth even one day!
Contraindications:
- Heavy organic diseases such as cancer, uncontrolled diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, AIDS, etc.
- Psychological disorders or memory loss that prevent an understanding of the treatment difficulties
- Advancing age where resistance to multiple extractions is reduced
- Radiotherapy due to severe risk of osteonecrosis
Advantages:
- The patient avoids stress that will go out in public without teeth
- The patient adaptation is easier
- The Immediate Full Denture acts as a protective splint in extraction wounds, so the patient has less bleeding, faster healing, less pain
Disadvantages:
- Multiple extractions create a general malaise for a few days
- After a certain time needed an adjustment, to reline the immediate denture after initial placement and the patient will bear the cost of a reline of the denture
The procedure is the following :

1st visit:

• Taking initial impressions of the upper and the lower jaw for the construction of individual trays
• Eventually teeth extraction
2nd
2nd visit :
• Taking the final impression with individual trays
3nd
3rd visit:
• Wax Rim of the denture
4nd
4th visit :
• Final evaluation of the fitting of the denture teeth and the shape, size and color of the teeth
5st
5th visit:
• Final extraction of teeth remained
• Final fitting of the complete denture
• Leaving the clinic with a radiant smile, you can eat directly

6th visit:
• Final evaluation a week later
